Axia Partners Confirms Leadership Transition
October 25, 2024
Earlier this year, in Q2, Aaron Wagner stepped down as a Partner at Axia, and his involvement with the firm was terminated. This decision followed a thorough evaluation of both Axia’s priorities and Mr. Wagner’s growing need to focus on his other business ventures. After careful evaluation, it was determined that this transition was in the best interest of both parties and their long-term goals. Axia notified their investors of the change in leadership in August to ensure alignment with all stakeholders.
“Axia Partners remains committed to upholding the highest business standards of integrity and operational excellence,” said Dave Allred, Managing Partner at Axia. “Aaron’s departure allowed both him and Axia to focus on our respective priorities without conflict.”
Jeremy Long, Managing Partner, added: “Aaron consistently acted in the best interests of our limited partners and made meaningful contributions during his time with us. However, over time, the direction of his personal and professional choices diverged from the values and standards we hold here at Axia. This decision was based on a mutual understanding of those differences and was not related to any specific concerns or negative actions during his time with the firm.”
In light of recent external developments related to Mr. Wagner’s other business ventures, Axia Partners has taken steps to clarify that it has always operated entirely independently from any of Mr. Wagner’s other ventures.
“Aside from an office lease, there are no financial or operational ties between Axia Partners, Wags Capital, WagsCap Food Services, or any of Aaron Wagner’s other business interests,” Allred explained.
Axia Partners continues to adhere to institutional best practices and maintains strict operational protocols, including annual audits conducted by Deloitte to ensure transparency and full compliance with all governing documents and best practices.
Jeremy Long concluded: “Our team remains focused on driving our investment strategy, which focuses on active value creation through operational and capital improvements to recession-resilient asset classes. We have continued through these changes with an unwavering focus on building value for our partners.”
